Kolkata: Just like past years this time also the annual musical concert of Mahamilan Sangha was celebrated on December 17 and 18, 2022 at MahajatiSadan, Kolkata. Only difference was this time it was their 25 th 6ears celebration.

The first day started with Indian Classical music where Sitar was played by Ustad Sujat Khan, son of the legendary Late Bilayet Khan. He was accompanied in Tabla by Sri Swapan Chowdhury. What a combination?

It created an eternal feeling and took the mind thousands of miles away from the materialistic life for two hours.

We must appreciate the organization to select the program so nicely.

The next program was totally different. Noe the “Pop Queen of Indian music’’ nobody else but one only Padmasree Usha Uthup is on stage with her group. There was no chance to feel monotonous. The Bollywood queen is still excellent at her age of seventy three.

The last performance of the day was by famous Rabindra sangeetsilpiSagnik Sen. He sang lot of old songs to be nostalgic.

That was all for the first day and created the mahal ready for the second day. It started with Indian Folk dance by Saswati Bhattacharjee and her team followed by the Baul songs by Kartik Das Baul. Then another antient Indian music Kirtan by Radhamohan Das. Organizers tried all the different possible corner of Indian cultural corners in two days.

Only problem was the sound system for not being friendly in the first part. Anyhow later part of the evening was OK.

Now the last performance presented by popular “Tutul and Group”. The eight other performers of the group are as below.

Sourav Das, Mandira Karmakar, Arnab Chowdhury, Sneha Bhattacharya, Suraj Nag, Shreyashi Bhattacharjee, Anurag Chattopadhyay and Rahul Sinha

All the group members are already equally well known through the famous musical TV program Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Each of them individually as well as a group presented an Authentic and Unique musical performance. Each day there was around 1200 audience enjoyed the show. Many other celebrities and politicians were present.

Both the day the MC  Anirban and Madhuri thrilled the audience with their hummer and golden voice.

Overall the wonderful weather, festive decoration of the city as a whole,

Holiday mood etc. reinforced the success of the day.
